Okay...This came through the email hotlines. You may need to checkout this infomation more or just be cautious. I intend to use the old Cash & Carry method myself to avoid any problems. Here's the email:

I wanted to give everyone a heads up that if you tend to give gift cards around the holidays, you need to be careful that the cards will be honored after the holidays. Stores that are planning to close after Christmas are still selling the cards through the holidays even though the cards will be worthless January 1. There is no law preventing them from doing this. On the contrary, it is referred to as 'Bankrupcy Planning). Below is a partial list of stores that you need to be cautious about...SAB

The Great Paradigm Shift

Over the past few months many of you have been experiencing the great shift. The energies of the Universe are always moving but when it's a high volume of energy or a very high vibrational frequency it's felt by all. It has affected many in various ways but most people feel or see the affects as negative. This is really not so. It is much easier when you take a step back and fully tune into what's happening so that you can better prepare for where you're going or what's about to take place.

We shall see one of the most significant results of this shifting as the election 08 comes to a close.

It is however important to know and realize that this is just a beginning. It's the beginning of a long road that must be traveled to get the desired results. What is about to happen is a shock to the system type awakening. This must occur so that many will open their eyes and see truth...so that many will start to take right Divine action.

The will occur in many different sectors and walks of life. There is a true call for the sleeping giant to awaken, ready himself, and go forth.

The New Florida Election Debacle

Yes you know the great state of Florida is at it again. This time the big mix up is with the information that they gathered online through their official Supervisor of Elections site. The information has just seemingly dropped off the deep end.

Of course voters didn't find this out in time to do anything about it. The excuses that their office is so backed up or they thought they had notified you don't hold water. After I repeatedly emailed them one of the representatives said she'd get back to me on Tuesday. I didn't hear from her until Thursday with a message that it'll take another five days for them to pull the information offline...

What ???!!! They said they had already done that but when I kept telling them they didn't follow a correct process or that they just totally disregarded my information that's when she said she would double check the information.

Well of course we, the voters are dumb or so they think. After all of that she says she'll get back to me in 5 days....Duh!!!!

That's election day!!!!

Beware of Gift card Fraud

When purchasing gift cards for loved ones, associates, give aways....

Well the crooks have found a way to rob you of your gift card balance. If you buy Gift Cards from a display rack that has various store cards you may become a victim of theft. Crooks are now jotting down the card numbers in the store and then wait a few days and call to see how much of a balance THEY have on the card(what you've put on it in reality).

Once they find the card is "activated", they then go online and start shopping.

One Solution is:
You may want to purchase your card from a customer service person, where they do not have the Gift Cards viewable to the public. You may even pick one from the back or middle of the rack. Please share this with all your family and friends...

This is a little humor sent in by a very thoughtful friend:

A man in Phoenix calls his son in New York the day before Thanksgiving and says, "I hate to ruin your day, but I have to tell you that your mother and I are divorcing; forty-five years of misery is enough." "Pop, what are you talking about?" the son screams.

We can't stand the sight of each other any longer," the father says. "We're sick of each other, and I'm sick of talking about this, so you call your sister in Chicago and tell her."

Frantic, the son calls his sister, who explodes on the phone "Like heck they're getting divorced," she shouts, "I'll take care of this." She calls Phoenix immediately, and screams at her father, "You are NOT getting divorced. Don't do a single thing until I get there. I'm calling my brother back, and we'll both be there tomorrow. Until then, don't do a thing, DO YOU HEAR ME?" and hangs up.

The old man hangs up his phone and turns to his wife. "Okay" he says, "they're coming for Thanksgiving and paying their own way."

Driving in the Rain a 36 year old female had an accident several weeks ago and totaledher car. A resident of Kilgore, Texas, she was traveling between Gladewater & Kilgore. It was raining, though not excessively, when her car suddenly began to hydroplane and literally flew through the air. She was not seriously injured but very stunned at the sudden occurrence!When she explained to the highway patrolman what had happened he told her something that every driver should know

NEVER DRIVE IN THE RAIN WITH YOUR CRUISE CONTROL ON.

She had thought she was being cautious by setting the cruise control and maintaining a safe consistent speed in the rain.But the highway patrolman told her that if the cruise control is on and your car begins to hydroplane -- when your tires lose contact with the pavement, your car will accelerate to a higher rate of speed and you take off like an airplane. She told the patrolman that was exactly what had occurred. The patrolman said this warningshould be listed, on the driver's seat sun-visor

NEVER USE THE CRUISE CONTROL WHEN THE PAVEMENT IS WET OR ICY,

along with the airbag warning. We tell our teenagers to set the cruise control and drive a safe speed - but we don't tell them to use the cruise control only when the pavement is dry.The only person the accident victim found, who knew this (besides the patrolman), was a man who had had a similar accident, totaled his car and sustained severe injuries.

Happy Anniversary Hubby

This entry is to honor the one deserving honor on this day and tomorrow. Today is my Anniversary(where my hubby is), Tomorrow will be my anniversary(where I am). Usually when we're together we celebrate the whole week. This year we're in different hemispheres so we'll share a few days through time and space. We must help each other stay on track and identify the special angels of info that we encounter. Now with that said, try to make sure you keep those little things that happen in your life written down(especially coincidences. They may serve as a timeline later in life.

Contrary to the popular beliefs of most people becoming religious(without being made to), I still say The Father 1st calls us as children. Our environment dictates our respond to His call throughout our lives. Perils, hardships, and desperation cause us to disregard our outside stimuli and then we are free to hear and move with Spirit.

Sometimes we must reassess what moves us to action. So I ask you again: Who or what is effecting your actions?

Beautiful Story to Lift Your Spirit

I received this from my wonderful daughter today. It's amazing the things children come across that tug on their hearts and cause them to connect with home. This is rather long but is not meant to cause heartache or pain to any reader. It may help strengthen you and help you to enjoy what you have around you.

She jumped up as soon as she saw the surgeon come out of the operating room. She said: "How is my little boy? Is he going to be all right? When can I see him?"

The surgeon said, "I'm sorry. We did all we could, but your boy didn't make it."
Sally said, "Why do little children get cancer? Doesn't God care any more? Where were you, God, when my son needed you?"
The surgeon asked, "Would you like some time alone with your son? One of the nurses will be out in a few minutes, before he's transported to the university."

Sally asked the nurse to stay with her while she said goodbye to her son. She ran her fingers lovingly through his thick red curly hair. "Would you like a lock of his hair?" the nurse asked. Sally nodded yes. The nurse cut a lock of the boy's hair, put it in a plastic bag and handed it to Sally.

The mother said, "It was Jimmy's idea to donate his body to the University for Study. He said it might help somebody else. "I said no at first, but Jimmy said, 'Mom, I won't be using it after I die. Maybe it will help some other little boy spend one more day with his Mom." She went on, "My Jimmy had a heart of gold. Always thinking of someone else. Always wanting to help others if he could."
Sally walked out of Children's Mercy Hospital for the last time, after spending most of the last six months there. She put the bag with Jimmy's belongings on the seat beside her in the car.

The drive home was difficult. It was even harder to enter the empty house. She carried Jimmy's belongings, and the plastic bag with the lock of his hair to her son's room.

She started placing the model cars and other personal things back in his room exactly where he had always kept them. She lay down across his bed and, hugging his pillow, cried herself to sleep.

It was around midnight when Sally awoke. Lying beside her on the bed was a folded letter.

The letter said:

"Dear Mom, I know you're going to miss me; but don't think that I will ever forget you, or stop loving you, just 'cause I'm not around to say "I Love You". I will always love you, Mom, even more with each day. Someday we will see each other again. Until then, if you want to adopt a little boy so you won't be so lonely, that's okay with me. He can have my room and old stuff to play with. But, if you decide to get a girl instead, she probably wouldn't like the same things us boys do. You'll have to buy her dolls and stuff girls like, you know.

Don't be sad thinking about me. This really is a neat place. Grandma and Grandpa met me as soon as I got here and showed me around some, but it will take a long time to see everything. The angels are so cool. I love to watch them fly. And, you know what? Jesus doesn't look like any of his pictures. Yet, when I saw Him, I knew it was He.

Jesus himself took me to see GOD! And guess what, Mom? I got to sit on God's knee and talk to Him, like I was somebody important. That's when I told Him that I wanted to write you a letter, to tell you goodbye and everything. But I already knew that wasn't allowed.

Well, you know what Mom? God handed me some paper and His own personal pen to write you this letter. I think Gabriel is the name of the angel who is going to drop this letter off to you. God said for me to give you the answer to one of the questions you asked Him 'Where was He when I needed him?' "God said He was in the same place with me, as when His son Jesus was on the cross. He was right there, as He always is with all His children.

Oh, by the way, Mom, no one else can see what I've written except you. To everyone else this is just a blank piece of paper. Isn't that cool? I have to give God His pen back now. He needs it to write some more names in the Book of Life. Tonight I get to sit at the table with Jesus for supper. I'm sure the food will be great.

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I don't hurt anymore. The cancer is all gone. I'm glad because I couldn't stand that pain anymore and God couldn't stand to see me hurt so much, either. That's when He sent The Angel of Mercy to come get me. The Angel said I was a Special Delivery! How about that?

A Smile For Your Day

I thought this was too cute to not pass on. Have an smile on me today. A faithful reader cared enough to send us a smile.

A little girl walked to and from school daily. Though the weather that morning was questionable and clouds were forming, she made her daily trek to the elementary school. As the afternoon progressed, the winds whipped up, along with thunder and lightning. The mother of the little girl felt concerned that her daughter would be frightened as she walked home from school and she herself feared that the electrical storm might harm her child.

Following the roar of thunder, lightning, like a flaming sword, would cut through the sky. Full of concern, the mother quickly got into her car and drove alongthe route to her child's school. As she did so, she saw her little girl walking along, but at each flash of lightning, the child would stop, look up and smile.

Another and another were to follow quickly and with each the little girl would look at the streak of light and smile. When the mother's car drew up beside the child she lowered the window and called to her, "What are you doing? Why do you keep stopping?"

The child answered, " I am trying to look pretty. God keeps taking my picture."

Every year, hundreds of thousands of students participate in the Veterans of Foreign Wars' Voice of Democracy Scholarship Competition and the Patriot's Pen Essay Contest, which award more than $3.4 million in scholarships and incentives.

The Voice of Democracy (VOD) scholarship program is an audio-essay contest for high school students in grades 9-12 that provides scholarships.

Patriot's Pen, a youth-essay writing contest, is a nationwide competition that gives students in grades 6, 7 and 8 the opportunity to write essays expressing their views on democracy.

A man and his ever-nagging wife went on vacation to Jerusalem. While they were there, the wife passed away. The undertaker told the husband, "You can have her shipped home for $5,000, or you can bury her here, in the Holy Land, for $150."

The man thought about it and told him he would just have her shipped home. The undertaker asked, "Why would you spend $5,000 to ship your wife home, when it would be wonderful to be buried here and you would spend only $150?"

I can only look back on the tragic events that happened 5 years ago with great sorrow. I will therefore only glance back as an act of respect for American lives and for human lives.

But I ask that you reflect on what opportunities lay before you. Also appreciate the lives that you encounter. Life is very fragile in that you don't know how long you'll enjoy it or when it will be over. Many things can happen in a flash...In a twinkling of an eye.

Your Worst Enemy

Do you know who your worst enemy is? You know the person that shoots your plans down the most. Or that person that is always telling you why you can have the thing that you truely desire. How about that person that makes sure you don't have enough financially to get what you want or go where you want to go. This is the same person that screws up your priorities by throwing situations in your face that need your immediate attention.

I will tell you how to find out who that is...
The next time you're having a conversation, no matter who it's with, be sure to listen carefully to what is being said. You'll hear just who's talking against you because this goes on in fromt of your face not behind your back. You just choose to dismiss it when it happens.

Another way to find out is to into the parlor, vanity, bathroom, bedroom and look in the mirror. I'm not being smart and I'm not joking. If there are negative things going on in your life and you're missing out on the desires of your heart then...

New Cell Phone? Protect Yourself

I never realized how often people change cell phone carriers and get new cellular telephones. Now that I know they change those almost as often as the Sun & Moon change positions in the sky. Not that often? Surely as often as the seasons change...
Well to the point...Please protect yourself and your sensitive as well as private information when you do change cell phones.

Remember to clear your data out of those lists that you created. Many people store numbers, addresses, and other key information in those phones. You don't want someone getting your info. I don't know if you can wipe the data off the SIMMs card but if you can then reformat, delete all, or something just get your stuff cleared out.

It doesn't matter if you recycle it or throw it away. If you get a new cell phone protect yourself by clearing out all of your data.

Is there an end to the madness? I don't know where the end is but I guess we must try to be at least one step ahead of the latest thief. So here's the latest trick send in by S. Robinson of Michigan:

A woman said her son found his license plate missing so he called the police to file a report. They told him people were stealing the plates to get free gas. Given the rise in gas prices, people have taken to stealing license plates, putting them on their cars, then getting gas and running. The gas station will have "your" license plate # and you could be in trouble for "pump and run." Check your car periodically to be sure you still have a plate. If you should find it missing, file a report immediately!!!

It's amazing what the come up with. If they spent half as much energy coming up with legal avenues to get money or things they'd be rich by now. They'd see blue seas and foreign lands instead of grey shirts (on the other inmates) and steel bars.

Oh well, keep an eye on your license plate! Make sure you always know it's there! Be aware of your license plates, most of us never look to see if they're there.

Help Someone You May Never Meet

Many people go through this life gaining a vast amount of knowledge but never seem to share the helpful knowledge with others. I say this because in your day to day life take notice as to the conversations you have or hear taking place around you. We use emails, blogs, audio recordings, and books now more than ever before. These formats allow you to help people that you may never meet.

When you observe the chatter around you, you'll find that people are talking about what happened to them or what problems they're having. Why is this? Usually they're looking for answers. Unfortunately they're looking in all the wrong places. But that is why "word of mouth" advertising is so good. The "word of mouth" way of searching for answers takes the long way around the problem before connecting you with the person that has the answers you need.

The experiences in life equips everyone with some very valuable information. If this info is shared in the right format it will prove to be very valuable. That is one reason why you see so many new authors. The information is out there just look at the number of people around you (they all have experiences & knowledge). Most people don't know what's useful and what's not. Then there's the putting it all together, finding out what to do next, who to contact, and on and on, and, on......

So here's a tip. Go to this site: www.dpublishing1.com look around, submit any questions that you might have and be sure to include your contact info. And with a little time and effort we may just see your name in print.

You didn't think you were going through situations just to go through them did you? Of course you didn't. You experience many things to help make the way/journey easier for the next person (generation).

New Orleans Residents to Lose Their Homes!!!!!

I receive an email from one of my blog readers. This is worst than pouring salt in an open wound. Everyone goes on and on about how they feel about the devastation that Hurricane Katrina had on the area. Now we know it was mostly talk.

My reader heard this on a radio program found the article and sent it to me.

I heard on the radio this morning from a rep of www.acorn.org (they're helping the citizens to rebuild thru donations) that if the citizens donate rebuild or have a plan of action to rebuild by the 31st, they will lose their properties to the city. The red cross, the gov't, and the other large gov't groups who've been collecting funds for the rebuilding haven't came off the funds yet as promised and not only that over half of the people haven't even heard of this yet..the man said their waiting list is about 1000 people long now but as long as their on it, they'll be pardoned..but for everyone else who didn't hear the broadcast or don't know, they'll be out of luck.

NEW ORLEANS -- Officials and community advocates are quietly planting the seeds for an enterprising program that could give the government temporary control over thousands of privately owned homes decimated by Hurricane Katrina.

An increasing number of Louisiana housing authorities believe the proposal, which is based on an arcane legal concept called ''usufruct," could be a key to determining whether New Orleans will once again be a seminal American city or will stagnate with a population, like it has now, equal to that of Duluth, Minn., and Fort Smith, Ark.

''You are not going to rebuild New Orleans unless you are able to get government access to private property," he said yesterday. ''If government does not solve that problem, everything else is just talk. It is foolish to believe otherwise."

Usufruct is a centuries-old legal concept that gives a person the right to use and profit from property that belongs to someone else. In Louisiana -- with its unusual legal system founded on Napoleonic code rather than English common law -- usufruct can apply to private property rights. It is sometimes used here to give a husband or wife control over property after his or her spouse dies. In layman's terms, proponents of the housing program want to give that control to the government.

Authorities would locate scattered homeowners to determine whether they have the means or the inclination to rebuild. There are believed to be at least 100,000 homes in New Orleans that are damaged to the point that they are not currently habitable. If the owner is not planning to return anytime soon, local officials would strike a deal. The owner would sign over controlling rights of the property -- but not the title -- to the government. In most cases, that would likely be the city of New Orleans, but the program would apply statewide and could involve numerous municipal or parish governments.

Through contracts targeting hundreds of properties at once, the government would then pay to make the home habitable again, while assuming, in most cases, mortgage payments for the owner.The home would then be rented out, first to displaced ''essential workers" such as teachers, police officers, firefighters, and their families, then to the public. Rents would probably be subsidized, and checks would be written to the government agency that signed the deal or to a company hired to manage the money.

The owner would be allowed to return after an agreed-upon period of time, provided he or she can repay the government for repairs made to the home. If, at that point, the owner does not want to return or cannot pay for the fixes, the government would have the right sell it. If the house were sold, the government and the owner could share in both profits and losses.

Now if any of you have rental property then you know how hard it is to get a person out of your property. Even if the person hasn't paid the their rent for months!!!!

This looks like a sneaky backdoor way to legally take someones property!!!!

Credit Card Scam

This one is pretty slick since they provide YOU with all the information, except the one piece they want.

Note:the callers do not ask for your card number; they already have it.By understanding how the VISA & MasterCard Telephone Credit Card Scam works, you'll be better prepared to protect yourself.

The scam works like this:
Person calling says, "This is (name), and I'm calling from the Security and Fraud Department at VISA. My Badge number is 12460. Your card has been flagged for an unusual purchase pattern, and I'm calling to verify. This would be on your VISA card which was issued by (name of bank). Did you purchase an Anti-Telemarketing Device for $497.99 from a Marketing company based in Arizona?"

When you say "No", the caller continues with,

"Then we will be issuing a credit to your account. This is a company we have been watching and the charges range from $297 to $497, just under the $500 purchase pattern that flags most cards. Before your next statement, the credit will be sent to (gives you your address), is that correct?"You say "yes". The caller continues - "I will be starting a Fraud investigation. If you have any questions, you should call the 1- 800 number listed on the back of your card (1-800-VISA) and ask for Security. You will need to refer to this Control Number. The caller then gives you a 6 digit number "Do you need me to read it again?"Here's the IMPORTANT part on how the scam works.

The caller then says, "I need to verify you are in possession of your card". He'll ask you to "turn your card over and look for some numbers". There are 7 numbers; the first 4 are part of your card number, the next 3 are the security Numbers' that verify you are the possessor of the card. These are the numbers you sometimes use to make internet purchases to prove you have the card. The caller will ask you to read the 3 numbers to him. After you tell the caller the 3 numbers, he'll say, "That is correct, I just needed to verify that the card has not been lost or stolen, and that you still have your card. Do you have any other questions?" After you say No, the caller then thanks you and states, "Don't hesitate to call back if you do", and hangs up.You actually say very little, and they never ask for or tell you the Card number. But after we were called on Wednesday, we called back within 20 minutes to ask a question. Are we glad we did! The REAL VISA Security Department told us it was a scam and in the last 15 minutes a new purchase of $497.99 was charged to our card.

Long story made short - we made a real fraud report and closed the VISA account. VISA is reissuing us a new number.

What the scammers want is the 3-digit PIN number on the back of the card. Don't give it to them. Instead, tell them you'll call VISA or Master card directly for verification of their conversation. The real VISA told us that they will never ask for anything on the card as they already know the information since they issued the card!

If you give the scammers your 3 Digit PIN Number, you think you're receiving a credit. However, by the time you get your statement you'll see charges for purchases you didn't make, and by then it's almost to late and/or more difficult to actually file a fraud report.

Please pass this on to all your family and friends. By informing each other, we protect each other.

Personally:
I've had many people calling to sell me something or check something I usually don't let them continue their spill. I politely cut them off and tell them they need to send it through the mail because there are too many scams going on. Whatever they tell me, my reply is "that's good" or "I understand but please mail me what you want me to know, thank you and have a good day". Then I hang up immediately because I mean business. I don't give them any info on the phone other than to acknowledge that I am the person they called for.

Chevrolet & Ford Smoke Screen

I recently returned from a trip I took to Spain. To my surprise I found they have many small cars similar to the Hybrids that were being marketed in the US.

Why am I bringing this up?

Because of the high price we pay in gas there's a scramble to find a new fuel source. Some of us have jumped on the Hybrid car bandwagon. Now we are losing the HOV privileges and we are still strapped with the inconvenience of having to use electricity and gasoline.

Car manufactures such as Chevrolet(Matiz), Ford, Nissan(Micra) make cars similar in size to the Hybrids but run solely on gasoline. Yes you heard correctly. Our two largest car makers want us to buy their American made cars are holding out on us!!!!!!

These cars get Better than average miles per gallon. They save money and gas but are not being offered to Americans. In fact the majority of Americans don't know they exist because the auto makers only show you the large gas guzzling vehicles. Yes America loves its large vehicles but they also like the smaller ones. Example: Beetle(old & new), Mini Coop, Golf, Miget, Fiesta, etc...

Keys Locked in the Car?

Here's an interesting tip that I received from a reader. I haven't tried so don't quote me on it. If you do try it leave us a comment to let us know it works.

Locked your keys in your car ?
Did you know this??

If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on your (or someone else's) cell phone.

Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person on the phone (at your home) press the unlock button of your key fob (clicker), holding it near the phone on their end.
Your car doors will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you.

Distance is no object you could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk!).

Comment from some who've tried it:
Experiment 1: *It works fine! We tried it out, and it unlocked our car over a cell phone!

Experiment 2: * I locked the car had my youngest daughter call me while I was far away from the car. I clicked open into the phone and I could hear the car doors unlock through her cell phone. My daughter confirmed that sure enough the doors opened.

Let Your Light Shine

Okay I was pulled into this one.
This for consideration when you feel the need or duty to be a witness for the Gospel of Christ. Especially if your associates or loved ones don't appear to be moving towards accepting Christ. God works by the Spirit and is often unseen. You could be getting in the way if you're anxious and moving by your sight and timing. Because you'll feel the need to make something happen.

The bible says a spouse is won over to the gospel by the actions of the saved one. Also the sanctification of the one covers the other(since you are both consider as one in the eyes of the Father). If he does this with two people that walk/exist along side each other what will he do for those you work/interact with?

As far as witnessing:
We are always to be ready with an in season word when asked. In season is a word that is related to the subject being discussed. That asked means exactly what it says. When asked at the appropriate time. People have subtle ways of asking for help so let the Holy Spirit lead you. Not while you're suppose to be working or talking about job related things. Too many Christians feel that witnessing means to always talk about Christ and nothing else. In a way this is force-feeding. In Genesis it says God made everything and He said it was good.

The Very Best way to be a witness for the Gospel of Christ is to let your light so shine (LIVE IT DAILY THROUGH YOUR ACTIONS AND WORDS). Actions speak louder than words so don't yell/talk so much...Just show.

Man may have witnessed to you by force or made you feel guilty/damned but that isn't the way of the Holy Ghost.

Many times people come to you because they can sense something(usually in the spirit but don't know what). That something draws them to you and has a way of ministering to them. That's when you ask the Holy Spirit what you need to say,do,or give them. He'll lead you and once it's done they'll leave.

Let your light so shine...It will draw,guide,or turn away.

Here's a nice little reminder for us all. I received this today from a special young man who thought about me;-)

A group of students were asked to list what they thought were the present "Seven Wonders of the World ." Though there were some disagreements, the following things received the most votes:

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student had not finished her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The girl replied, "Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my mind because there were so many." The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help. "The girl hesitated, then read, "I think the 'Seven Wonders of the World' are:

7. And to Love."

The room was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop. The things we overlook as simple and ordinary and that we take for granted are truly wondrous!

What Will You Do About This?

Most people ask "What do you think about this?" I'm asking what will you do about it. I addressed some of the actions of our elected officials in an earlier post. It's amazing how many of their actions go unchallenged. Only certain actions are brought to the light (during an election year). This country is asked time and time again to help another country. I'm all for helping others but let us help some of the "others" that are within our own borders.

This was sent to me by a dear friend. I don't care if you like this man or not the points he's making are what should be considered so I'll state his name later.

I think the vast differences in compensation between victims of the September 11 casualty and those who die serving our country in Uniform are profound.

No one is really talking about it either, because you just don't criticize anything having to do with September 11. Well, I can't let the numbers pass by because it says something really disturbing about the entitlement mentality of this country. If you lost a family member in the September 11 attack, you're going to get an average of $1,185,000. The range is a minimum guarantee of $250,000, all the way up to $4.7 million.

If you are a surviving family member of an American soldier killed in action, the first check you get is a $6,000 direct death benefit, half of which is taxable. Next, you get $1,750 for burial costs. If you are the surviving spouse, you get $833 a month until you remarry. And there's a payment of $211 per month for each child under 18. When the child hits 18, those payments come to a screeching halt.

Keep in mind that some of the people who are getting an average of $1.185 million up to $4.7 million are complaining that it's not enough. Their deaths were tragic, but for most, they were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Soldiers put themselves in harms way FOR ALL OF US, and they and their families know the dangers.

We also learned over the weekend that some of the victims from the Oklahoma City bombing have started an organization asking for the same deal that the September 11 families are getting. In addition to that, some of the families of those bombed in the embassies are now asking for compensation as well. You see where this is going, don't you? Folks, this is part and parcel of over 50 years of entitlement politics in this country. It's just really sad.

Every time a pay raise comes up for the military, they usually receive next to nothing of a raise. Now the green machine is in combat in the Middle East while their families have to survive on food stamps and live in low-rent housing.

Make sense?

However, our own U.S. Congress voted themselves a raise. Many of you don't know that they only have to be in Congress one time to receive a pension that is more than $15,000 per month. And most are now equal to being millionaires plus. They do not receive Social Security on retirement because they didn't have to pay into the system. If some of the military people stay in for 20 years and get out as an E-7, they may receive a pension of $1,000 per month, and the very people who placed them in harm's way receives a pension of $15,000 per month. I would like to see our elected officials pick up a weapon and join ranks before they start cutting out benefits and lowering pay for our sons and daughters who are now fighting.

Daniel Fast

The Daniel fast allows you to return to/start a healthy eatting pattern. Don't allow the enemy to tell you that you can't do it just have faith in the God that's within you. Pray ask the Spirit of God to give you the confidence and the strength.

Health Problem: When faced with a physical problem of health or healing, and you want to do a fast, you would limit your diet to basic necessities that strengthen the body to heal itself of sickness or to maintain good health. Making sure to take all prescribed medications. (See Disclaimer)

Read this key verse: "Please test us for ten days, on a diet of vegetables and water."

Prescription: (1) Begin your fast by defining the problem, then pray for a specific answer to the
problem. (2) Fast as a spiritual commitment to God for His answer. (3) Your fast commitment is an outer test that reflects an inner desire. (4) Fast and pray to understand the role of sin that keeps you from health or healing. (5) Your fast is a statement of faith to others. (6) The Daniel Fast is not done privately. (7) Know the potential of the food you eat during the Daniel Fast. (8) Yield all physical result to God.

Word of Advice doing our any fast. You don't have to fast only without foods. I call the 800 number and spoke with a young lady named Sarah which denies that any of this is true and says they aren't doing any recalls of their meds. If you know of anyone else with small children, PLEASE PASS THIS ON. THIS IS SERIOUS STUFF! DO PASS ALONG TO ALL ON YOUR MAILING LIST so people are informed. My advise is to stop using these meds that contain this ingredient, dispose of them and stop purchasing them. Many times the FDA feels it has done it's part by just making a statement and having companies place a warning on the label. Their policy seems to be that it is your responsibility to read the labels, inform yourself and then take action. Please do what is best for you and your loved ones. Maybe look into holistic/natural alternatives.

Just back from an awesome conference (Prophecology 2006) that was held in New York this past week. I must say it was one of the larger conferences that I've attended. It was held at the Marriott in Laguardia, New York. It seemed like it completely took over the hotel. I think it was really just four floors though not including every conference room but two. It was like nothing I'd ever attended either.

I think it is necessary for everyone to attend some type of enrichment seminar or conference. This conference had both and a little bit more. There was even a Doctor of holistic medicine available with staff. I will of course be placing his information on my website shortly.

I'm trying to do a little recuperating. I tried to attend every lecture and session that was held. So it was go, go, go and then go some more. Many conferences or seminars may seem useless or a waste of time to some people but maybe they are prejudging them or they haven't attended the right ones. When you pick one make sure it really is of interest to you and that it has some good information that will benefit you. In other words don't just go to one, do some research first.

I must settle in and blend this newly acquired information into my business and personal life. I'll say it again, it wasn't just another conference nor was it like anything you could've imagined.

You're worth the time and money that it would take to go to and attend an event that would benefit your life, the people in your life, and your business.

Refreshing Retreats

There is so much in this season that pulls and tugs at each of us. The erratic weather seems to make things worse. But now is the time to take little moments to reflect on our inner beings and our God. We all need refreshing at times and since this is the beginning of the year this would be the best time.

We have much ahead of us and we must be refreshed and energized to do the work we have chosen to do. Everyday is filled with new and old things. We must know what to let go of, what to finish and what to start. Each year seems to move faster than the last and we often feel rushed and hurried.

Taking little moments will act as little retreats. This is a way to refresh yourself during a busy day a period. We are always funneling information to others and we want to have the right spirit about us (to be the most effective). So what ever you do wrap it in love and remember to take those little retreats.

Free Phone Calls From Your PC

I'm not a searcher of free stuff but when people send me good info I like to pass it on. Here's another one. You may already know this but you can talk to others from your PC. Some provide services to PC's and telephones. My cousin uses MSN but a group I'm in a group and some of the members use Yahoo. Everyone that I've conversed with likes it especially the no charge part.

I feel we pay enough for the services we order and we should get a little more than we currently receive. Most companies are in the habit of a-la-carting their services so they can get more out of you. Check out the bundled services and you'll see what I mean. Every so often they survey their customers/potential customers as well as monitoring the usage of the services they provide. They then change the bundled services and add another service. Usually they take the most popular or most used service out of the bundled package and give it another name(it's packaged with services that aren't used much). That way you'll buy the basic bundle plus the new package as an "add on".

Look at the pretty penny you pay for your phone service(home/office/cell), TV(cable, digital, satellite), Internet, etc... The list goes on. No matter what it is they find a way to tell you they're bringing you more when it's the service they started out with at their beginning. I guess that's commerce. But I expect the same service I got when I started with a company. I understand inflation but don't play on my intelligence just raise the price.

This day January 15th is very important to many of us but it has a more personal meaning for me and my family. One of the oldest or shall I say more mature individuals in our family was born on this day. She is mother to few, grandmother to some and great or great-great grandmother to many.

She is a strong lady of mixed origins. She had brought morals, strength, a very powerful sense of independence and strong will to this family. Standing head and shoulders above many and out classing most it is an honor to have her as our matriarch.

Just dropping a line about the new NBC comedy sitcom that aired last night. Because it was the premiere show the running time for last night's program was 2 hours long. I've heard quite a few comments about the negative spin it will be putting on the church but I totally disagree with them. No one on this earth can have that many problems. Everyone on the show has a problem... And I do mean everyone. Well maybe not everyone. They showed Christ a few times and so far He doesn't appear to have a problem.

My spouse wasn't going to watch it but when he kept hearing me laugh he decided to watch a little of it. He enjoyed it because he watched the rest of the show. Comedians make fun of everything PERIOD. But for those who feel this program is giving the unsaved the wrong impression of the church, I suggest to you check yourself and all of your actions.

The people in church do have problems that don't end as soon as they accept Christ. They must also take steps to change like everyone else. Now when Christians display a holier than thou attitude or give that type of impression to non-Christians they may feel that they can't measure up. Many try to change before they come to Christ instead of letting Christ assist them in making changes. This attitude keeps many from accepting Christ.

As followers of Christ we are to help others accept Christ and then let Christ assist them in making the change He feels are necessary. This show exaggerate a lot of things but that is what comedy does. I feel that it can help spark the curiosity of some people which may cause them to come investigate the church and that's a start.

HOW TO HAVE A SUPERNATURAL YEAR IN 2006

If you want 2006 to be a year full of supernatural situations, blessings, and prosperity then:
Mark the motives of your heart, your thoughts and the words that come out of your mouth because they have the ability to create or destroy. They are what make or break your dreams, goals, and desires.

"For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly."(Psalm 84:11)

No good thing will the Father withhold from you but He is bound by His word. You are one of His agents while you're here on this earth and in this fleshly human form. He has given you the same authority that He gave Christ. Don't let anyone rob you of that God given authority. And make sure you use that authority properly. If it isn't benefiting you or if you're not being blessed with positive things and events then check those three things.

So to all of you that would dare to: "Live life to the fullest and become a magnet for the miraculous",

Resolutions/ Goals for the New Year

Many people make resolutions for the new year with the intention of keeping them all. May I suggest that you make resolutions you know you can keep then exceed them. Don't let outside opinions influence your choices.

If you're setting goals for your health and diet, start out with small changes. Don't change your diet completely because small changes can be incorporated into your diet and quickly become a way of life.

Use vitamins to combat the food cravings. Example: I take 2 high-potency vitamins a day (1 in the morning and 1 late afternoon). I've added 4 vegetables to my diet this year and have almost cut junk food completely out of my diet. Sometimes I only eat a bowl of vegetables. I drink at least 1 gallon of water a day and I consume no soda. This is from a person that drank almost 2 cases of soda a week. The kicker is I've lost dress sizes without trying and I don't crave or miss soda at all.

The goals I set don't leave me frustrated and so I continue to do them year after year. I just try to do more than I did in the previous year. I feel I'm not limiting myself to any one area/thing with these goals. I've made them part of my daily life but because the Father is Infinite there is always more available. No matter what I undertake I look to experience the Father in everything (which makes things much more rewarding).

My goals:
1) Fully enjoy and experience as much of the Father's creations as I can
2) To share the love of the Father with everyone I can
3) To allow the Holy Spirit to work through me for the Glory of the Father
4) To dive deeper into the Father and experience more of His presence
5) Do something to replenish or rejuvenate my body

Everything else is a Bonus for me :-) Especially the food thing.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS AVAILABLE

If you don't take action to help yourself no one is to blame for you not receiving help. Opportunities don't last forever and sometimes come with a deadline so timely action is best.

This list was sent to me and was labeled as scholarships for African Americans & Minorities. I have looked into some of the links and found that they are not just for African Americans and Minorities so please do your homework and don't just write them all off. I must also tell you that these are not just for scholarships but some are for grant money as well.

Higher Education can help stamp out poverty and crime. It can also help build self-esteem, self-confidence and bridge the gap between the Haves and the Have Nots. Many people are devout Christians and are constantly studying the scriptures but they often neglect or see no need for secular education. The scriptures doesn't specify what type of knowledge(religious/secular), but the Bible does say Christians have two sets of rules to follow. Since you need a secular education(which is required by law in this country), you should get the highest level possible. If someone is willing to help you get that education then then by all means take them up on their offer.

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee..."(Hosea 4:6)

Even if you do not have a college-aged child at home, please share this with someone who does, pass this scholarship information on to anyone and everyone that comes to mind. Though there are a number of companies and organizations that have donated moneys for scholarship use to African Americans, a great deal of the money is being returned because of a lack of interest.

No one is going to knock on your door and ask if you can use a scholarship. Take the initiative to get your children involved. There is no need for money to be returned to donating companies because we fail to apply for it.

Please pass this information on to family members, nieces, nephews, friends with children etc. We must get the word out that money is available. If you are a college student or getting ready to become one, you probably already know how useful additional money can be. Our youth really could use these scholarships. Thanks!!

Like I always say every rumor has a bit of truth it. The rumor usually contains a very small amount of truth entangled with a large amount of lies.

It should not be eased into the celebrations of another group and then force that group out of the very thing that make its celebration important.

So why is it being connected to the Christmas celebrations?
Maybe it is part of the techniques being used to strip Christ and Christmas from American Christians.

This is important because:
many other countries look at what we do
many of them mimic and copy us.

If we as a great and powerful country have given up/squashed Christ what will follow? Maybe we feel there isn't a great need for Christ because we are now a big country. We can handle our own affairs without the need for guidance.

We as a country and Christians should never forget our God. Nor should we let someone remove Him or replace Him with other things or gods. When we let other things ease in we eventually replace God with them. It may not be intentional but other things receive the bulk of our attention. They take up more of our time and they become more important. We show this by prioritize our to do/must do list. And on this list the things of God are last. Many times we don't realize our actions have a tremendous effect on the future of our nation and our grandchildren. Thus much of the chaos we're experiencing in America.

"Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God an a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me." (Exodus 20:5; Deuteronomy 5:9)

What really amazes me is when the hard core atheist/non-believer gets into a life threatens situation or in dire straits he calls out to God. In that moment, he (the atheist/non-believer) doesn't care to know anything about God, he (the atheist/non-believer), just wants help and he wants it fast.

We should and must realize that our God is not an imposition or an intrusion in our lives but He is our Father. He is always moving in love to help us in all areas of our lives.

What will you do? To take no action is the same as agreeing with what's being done. You must stand up by moving on behalf of what's right.

Yes this is the time of the season that many stop and reflect on the more important things in life. And wouldn't you know it there is a massive amount of controversy mounting over the most important issue.

I can see the points of all involved but as many state: when others are being pushed into a corner or having their rights overlooked and you say or do nothing, what do you think will eventually happen? The time will come when you'll be pushed into a corner and your rights will be taken from you.

There have been at least three separate groups celebrating this festive season and Merry Christmas has been at the forefront while they place their celebratory titles near it. Now with the pain of past events and the current ongoing events we are suddenly being thrust into giving up one of the things we hold dear. Even though we stand for what makes us individuals, we (as a country), used God (Jesus Christ), as a cornerstone. Now we must give that up for people that hate our God and us?

I have always felt when you invite someone into your home or space you try to make them comfortable and welcomed. But and I do mean but, their comfort is never at the expense of you losing everything and being put out.

So when will the madness end? When we have lost everything that we hold dear, that keeps us morally stable, or gives us liberty.

Lawlessness is on the rise but it can be much worst than what we've experienced so far. If we're governing our actions by what we feel there could be a total disregard for humans and their rights. Oh my mistake, the only rights they have is what the head/baddest gunner/bomber gives them. We hospitalize people for trying to commit suicide but now we are being force to embrace those that would not only kill themselves but countless others along with them.

Where is the backbone,guts,hootsbah (not correctly spelled), that was used to start this country...That made this country great (and the envy of other countries)...That was demonstrated by those on September 11...That is constantly shown by our military when we go to the aid of every country (large or small), in need?

I'm just back from my annual Christmas visit to Florida. I did pick up a few items at the computer show to. As always it is nice to spend time with family members. It never ceases to amaze me how we can be an information exchange.

It is good to help others by giving of yourself. No matter how much or how little of yourself you give...When it's done with genuine love it can help others in ways that you may never realize or understand.

We have much to give if we're given half a chance. Allow yourself to help someone you can change a life.

After all what's left when we leave the life if not an imprint on the hearts and in the lives of those we come in contact with?

How Much Are You Worth?

Almost everyone puts a price tag on every physical thing they see or have knowledge of. Some also put a price tag on things unseen. Now when I say unseen, I'm not just talking about spiritual things. I'm also talking about perceived things. For instance, what price would you put on a hope or even a dream? What about a fear that paralyzes you or stifles your growth?

You're getting the picture?

The price tag or value that is attached to something depends on the individual pricing item. Some people feel that the larger the item is the more valuable it is. This however isn't always the case.

The value that is always overlooked can be multiplied exponentially. Why do I say this? Because the hidden(overlooked) value that is attached to everything is actually a portion of your life. Your life is often measured in time and by what was accomplished in it. Many times what is reflected on is what you've done for humanity(big/small) and what you've achieved.

Intimate Nuggets is about the hidden chunks of gold in your life that you may have a tendency to overlook or sometimes never discover. The one thing that connects to everything else in your world is what is within you. A nugget to pick up and dust off, something that may help you and those you come in contact with. I don't know what drives you or encourages you. I don't know if you are a confident person or one with low self-esteem but there is a thought that I'd like you to ponder. You are probably not placing a high enough value on yourself.

Now in this comment my belief and opinion is the only thing that counts. When you post your comments you're going by your beliefs and opinions. So back to my previous statements...Aside from the value that an item has and the exponential value that goes with it there is another value that is tied to it. This value is immeasurable and has the ability to constantly increase. This value increases your worth and in turn to the overall price tag(value) of the things in your life.

God Almighty place a portion of His spirit within you. Now even though it is a small portion it was powerful enough to give your being life. If you meditate on the attributes of the Only Living God you will begin to understand the value that you really have. He is infinite and He is spirit. Because of the spirit in you, you have the ability to not only create but recreate. Man doesn't always have to adapt. You can recreate or change environments and situations.

Well this isn't coming out right. I tell you what...Let's say this: Place a value if you will on God. Yes it is quite hard to do because He is infinite and He is ALL. But take a moment and try it anyway. Now that you done that and can see that His value is with end...You did include the cosmos didn't you? Okay I'm just making sure you don't try to short change Him.

Now remember a portion of His Spirit is within you....So now how much are you worth?

911 Who Cares? Who's Really Killing Americans?

Since when are the elected officials of the United States suppose to make sure the homeland is protected FIRST?

or....Even make sure the interest of the American people are FIRST in any matter?

Well I for one wasn't around when this great country was started. I do know that some of my forefathers had a hand in the building of this country. And if I remember my history (not the doctored up modern versions), yours did too. There are many issues that I try to stay away from but something--stick a fork in me, I am done!

I was glad to give a few years of my life in the service of my country and I thought it was my duty to go above and beyond what was expected on me or asked of me.

There are a few types of television shows or movies that I don't watch. Racially motivated, War, Prison, Rape/Molestation content...Period! I don't stick my head in the sand but I will not be influenced or swayed from the opinions, viewpoints, mindset, or attitudes I have concerning these.

BUT THIS TAKES THE CAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!

The wishy-washy elected officials need to have their butts kicked (I'll tell you how to do that later).
After all that the world has had to suffer and then to have trash dumped in our very own living room. Yeah, most Americans were outraged with the events of 911. And their were many coming forth to help in any way that they could.

We are still in a foreign country laying down our lives to help others that can't or won't help themselves. We have the largest ongoing finger-pointing and blame-game this country has ever seen. And the very thing they're trying to weasel out of is the same thing they continue to do. They tell us we should thoroughly read and ask questions about any contract before we enter sign it. Now they signed off on this country going to war but now they say they were not given all of the information. They know how they get elected and they know all that they do including not disclosing important information. So, they should know full well how they play on words and dance around the issues. They signed off on our lives and our blood and you should not let them get away with playing the political party card.

Did I say that right? For a moment I thought I said the rumor mill has passed along information that the Muslims are getting a Christmas postage stamp.
Wait I did say that...And all in the same breath too. Here it is:

They don't even believe in Christ as the Savior of mankind (thus the real essence and meaning of Christmas). Aren't these sold by the federal government on government property? Then where have our Ten commandments gone? I'm not waging any wars here are throwing stones I would like to just make a few points.
This country and Christians are having many of our religious things stripped from us in the public forum in an effort to be politically correct and inoffensive.

We as Americans must be tolerant of many things because we are from very different backgrounds. But no one group should always have to give in to the demands on another group. We're suppose to be working to get along with one another. Christmas is enjoyed by everyone in this country. I say that because everyone looks to take advantage of the time span considered as the Christmas holidays. Why must we be tolerated out of our God and the very essence of what makes us Americans? This goes for those that consider themselves to be atheist.

How is it the Politicians make laws that every American has to follow EXCEPT THEM? If you can name a law or ordinance they've broken it...They're not locked up because another law-breaker swept it under the rug, lost the information, or used their influence. I'm not taking about once or twice this is an ongoing thing. Then come election day they try to make themselves look good by exposing the wrong doings of the other candidate. When that does get them what they want they say vote for the party. They should be made to show how they cast their votes while in office as well as their attendance/absentee records. It would cut out all that illegal legal-money changing(fundraising & soft money), and advertising. This is a job we're paying them for they should be accountable to us. I guarantee you there wouldn't be an economic crisis in this country. If we did what they do we would be fired Johnny-on-the-spot.

Now I told you earlier that I'd say how to kick their butts. So this is what you do. Forget about political party, who's who(family name game), or who knows who. When it's time to vote....cast your vote to unseat anyone who has cast a vote to put us in the position we're in. If they can't make the right decisions and don't know how to get the right answers(using all of our money), they don't need to be in office. After all they know how to hide and attach useless, money guzzling issues that can't stand/pass on their own to a bill that is really needed. They could've easily signed off on the body armor our troops need but they didn't. They pointed fingers, made it about a political party and didn't sign off on it until they got their junk issues attached to the bill (they knew the American people were getting in an uproar about it). They didn't care that everyday our troops were dyeing. The politician were coming and going everyday and sleeping in a safe environment every night.

After all the lives lost on 911 and in foreign lands not to mention the USS Cole, Embassy/barracks bombings, and numerous other bombings around the globe it's time for us to really take a stand in matters that count because....If it is true and they are really getting a Christmas postage stamp...
The elected officials are really the ones who are killing Americans.

So after all the ranting I, as a Christian, know that no matter what happens in this universe will be seen by the Father. The plan that the Father has for mankind will not be deterred. In other words whether the events are good or bad God can make the end results beneficial for us.

Have You Looked Outside?

Sometimes people say things that don't make very much sense. Or they say things that are of no use to us in our present state or any other state for that matter. Hopefully this isn't one of those times.

The year 2005 is quickly coming to an end and the 2006 th year is standing at the mark anxiously awaiting the signal to start. But before that happens we know there are 33 days left on the calendar year (from where I'm standing). There could be more or less from your location but that's neither here or there in the scheme of things.

The point is from the spot or place in time that you are presently in have you looked outside?
Everyone is given 24 hours for each day. It's up to you when you wake up and when you go to sleep. There are many who live in a somewhat controlled environment but it is your inner clock that wakes you up and causes you to sleep. I wake my son up at 6am every morning (schools only) but there are days when he chooses to wake up at 5am. I know for a fact when you may put children to bed at a certain time but they don't go to sleep right away. Even adults go to bed but many don't fall asleep right away.

My point is you determine when you wake up and when you fall asleep so during this time that you've been awake have you looked outside?

It doesn't matter where you are. It doesn't matter what you are required to do during the day. You can take a moment or two to look outside. If you can't go outside the house, building, or space you're in you can still go outside.

This can be done by everyone because as I always say: Everything boils down to your attitude and mindset.
You only need to look outside of yourself. You really don't have to use your physical eyes if you don't want to. You can close your eyes. Calm your thoughts. Then feel......
There is an force inside of you that will connect with the energy force that is flowing around and throughout the universe. I'm not a mystical or new age thinker. I strickly walking in the Word.

The more you connect with Him(this force), the more you will notice of the physical world around you. That is how to see things differently. You will not only see who is around you but you will see what is around you as well. The Father has breathe a portion of His Spirit into you when you were born. You're just going to reunite the portion that is within you with the greater part (Him).

Take a moment or as long as you possibly can to just look outside.

The Value Of You...A Chain Reaction

I would like to take a moment to tell you how much you mean to someone. You go to and fro throughout each day doing what you feel you can or must do. You deal daily with traffic or just down right nasty people. Your reward or lot seems to be about the worst anyone could get. But I'm here to tell you that is not so. There is always a lower place that you can sink to. You can have something more horrible happen in your life than what has already happened. There are many good and excellent things happening to you but you may not be able to see them.

Now that you've looked at what others and the world is doing for and to you, what are you doing for them? That is where you want to place your focus. Why? Because that's how you can measure your value. Just by saying a kind word or making a kind gesture to someone you can lift up their spirits. You can without knowing it save someone's life. We as mankind put the greatest value on human life. Some people never get an encouraging word. People watch you and you may not realize it but they will still watch you. They may never say anything to you but they note what you say and do. Even if you're in an area where people seem to constantly criticize you, there are others that take note of you. You can say that you are (without trying to)quietly mentoring others. You can touch others whether you try to or not.

You have the ability to change the atmosphere. I say that because when you go in a room and say things/do things to interact with others it can put them in a good mood or a bad mood. After you leave they will still be in the mood that you helped them get in. It's like a chain reaction throughout the day.

The most important thing though is when you become the highlight of someone's day or a lifeline for them. Just observe people throughout your day to see how you affect them and how people affect each other. You may be amazed at what you see.

With all the celebrations and preparations made for this time of the year, it really boils down to just one day.

It seems like there is too much time and energy given for an occasion that lasts only 24 hours. But if you take a closer look you will see a totally different picture. There are 24 concentrated hours of love and fellowship with loved ones. Many times loved ones stay miles away and take time to travel by train, plane, or automobile for this precious period of time. The love that fills these 24 hours is a love that creates. It has created generations of family members and memories that last a lifetime. This love can also energize and inspire others.

We look forward to this time because we get to spend time with loved ones that we may not have seen in years. We have very much to be thankful for. No matter what we have experienced or gone through, we still have within us the ability to change our circumstances. We also have the ability to affect change in those we come in contact with.

Human life is very fragile and fleeting so enjoy everyday to the fullest.

Really it's all in the way the human brains works. The brain also works in a simular way when words are left out of a piece of writing. It doesn't stop it just fills in the missing words and keeps reading. This is important to know when you're editing any type of writing. It is also important to know that the computer screen playing tricks with your eyes (strobes). The moniters and television screens flicker very fast. Most of the time you don't notice it but it has an effect on your eyes that show up in the form of larger amounts of editing errors.

This is a question I often ask others and I would like you to take a moment and think about it before you answer. Who is the most important person in the world to you?

The holiday season is almost in full swing
For some it's the most stressful time of the year

For many it is the most joyous and cheerful time of the year

So many situations and things happen to us in this life. Our attitude, perspective and outlook will always determine our moments and ultimately the kind of life we have. In all the we face and in all that we undertake and accomplish it is very important that we take a little time for ourselves. We sometimes need only a moment and then there are times that we may need more. When we can quiet ourselves and refresh our inner man we come alive and feel rejuvenated. We are able to start every day as if it's our first one. We better able and more equipped to help others around us.

Now back to the question: Who is the most important person in the world to you? I must say it may seem very difficult to name just one person. But it is important to narrow it down to only one. Did you name your loving spouse or one of your wonderful children? Maybe it's one of your adorable grandchildren. It could've said one of your many nieces or nephews. Don't you dare leave out your Mother, Father or one of your Grandparents. Then there's the Aunt's and Uncles. Hey what about your trusted and beloved friends?

Really in all honesty I must admit this can be answered quite easily.........It just depends on how you look at things. Remember it's about attitude, outlook and perspective. We will now look at how easy this question is to answer.

Without reservation or hesitation: You are the most important person in world. How can I say that with such surety? Easy! Stand still and look outward at the world...If you were not in the world there would be no world...For you that is. The whole world surrounds you. Big or small...You are the center of the world. Now without you here the world would center around someone else...That would make someone else the most important person.

We don't all need to be a celebrity, famous, or even the richest person in the world. We just need to know how important we are. With that comes the knowledge and the ability to reach out and help others.

Technology...You Gotta Love It!!!

I spoke with my grandchildren today. Today's children are amazing! I wasn't able to fly down this weekend to visit with them. On my last visits to Florida I wasn't able to visit with them because they seem to stay on the go as much as I do. They were on my mind and heart kind of heavy this past week. I found out yesterday that one of them had been a little under the weather but I was unable to contact them.

Well, this morning my daughter chirped me. I guess I'm saying it right. The mobile phone has a walkee-talkee feature on it and my husband and I are trying to get the hang of using it. Needless to say our 4 and 6 year old grandchildren have mastered using this feature.

I got the speaker phone function to work so everyone in the room was able to hear the conversation firsthand. I must say sometimes technology can be a pain but when you get the hang of it...WOW. We're in Virginia and spoke with family in Florida. We didn't have to miss a very important call because the mobile phone travels with us. So in the proper settings and at the right times technology is a Godsend.

Divide and Conquer...The Body is Fighting Itself!!!

I don't mean to beat a dead horse or cause any discomfort to anyone. But I've been part of several different denominations. That's why I can said they all (denominations),have their good and bad points. The doctrine is what chains us down and puts us in bondage because it isn't always in-line with what the Bible says (it's usually weaved/mingled with the Word, or stated in such a way that many don't question it). Different denominations are the result of disagreements or what was being taught and so someone started another one. The fact remains we are still one body that is suppose to do all things in love.

The most important and common thread that joins us is CHRIST. That makes us many members of one body. If you don't like the diversity of this body then you should never accept Christ. Because once you do you're stuck with us (each and every denomination). An example of this is how organizations function. Many people of diverse tongues and cultures come together for a common cause.

I can laugh at what I'm about to say because I was surrounded by people in more than one denomination that stated "the Internet is of the devil". They truly believe that. I took me a long time to understand why people are so quick to credit the enemy with the things that God does. The one reason Christendom fights and sometimes begs for prime time on TV. Some say that's the one-eyed devil (TV). The Television and the Internet can be used to minister in places that you'll never have to set foot in. How can such a powerful tool be credited to the enemy? Blindness and refusal to change. We can agree to disagree and do it all in love. Because the Holy Spirit is the one that brings light, truth, and understandable revelations not man. Man is just the tool.

39. "But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. 40. For he that is not against us is on our part. Mark 9:39-40

We must be vigil in our prayers and understanding for each other and the world. We must also be willing to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and follow Him if we as a body are to mature. The enemy uses denomination and religion to divide and conquer. We get so wrapped up in ritualistic things, arguing about denominational differences, and weighed down with denominational protocols until we act just like the world because we lose sight of Christ, love, and what He told us to do. We are fighting amongst ourselves and against the Body.

One thing is true: If we realize and act as if we're not perfect then we'll will be more open to the changes that the Holy Spirit will show us. This will cause us to come together as a body and help others is need. Once we come to the realization that no one church group is perfect and we each have a part to play (together) and combine our skills and attributes we will be able to sweep across the earth with very little opposition. We must wake up and come together if we are to prosper and take back what's rightfully ours. There should not be one person in the Body of Christ that cannot reach out and help a sinner (spiritually and naturally).

You must know that you are blessed and part of a wonderful diverse body and it's all because of Christ.

Harvest a Bumper Crop of Prosperity

You reap what you sow.
What goes around comes around.
You'll get it in the end.

I'm sure you heard one or more of these comments or something to their effect. Each culture or language has many parables or sayings that are similar in meaning.

Let's just think for a moment...If there is truth in these statements. Now if there is truth in them, what are you sowing/doing on a constant basis?

To sow (plant things/seeds)
This can take the form of thoughts, words, deeds, actions. What are you constantly thinking? What are you saying to yourself, loved ones, and strangers? What actions are you doing on a daily basis? And what things are you doing for others (big/small)?

To reap (harvest, get the fruit of what was sown)
Whatever you do in the above action of sowing will be determined what you receive as a harvest. Just keep in mind the harvest is much larger than the amount sown. What do I mean? Have you ever seen one seed (fruit, vegetable, or plant),come up as one apple/orange, one ear of corn/one bean pod, one leaf on a stem? The answer is definitely not-- it would look strange---it would also require a person to plant an enormous amount of seeds.

***One seed produces one plant (which isn't the harvest), this plant then yields its fruit in it's season. The result of an apple/orange seed is a tree full of fruit (each season), that can be enjoyed by many people. Now that is a Harvest***

"But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully."

II Corinthians 9:6

I believe that is one reason why people often say: "why is this happening to me". They may not be doing wrong but they are not sowing the right kind of seeds.

Sow you seeds for the kind/type of harvest that you want. If you want a good harvest sow good seeds. If you want an abundant/very large harvest sow many seeds.

"7. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

9.An let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

Galatians 6:7,9

With that being said, when you go about your day why not speak good things upon the lives of those you meet? Why not do some good deed to/for them? It doesn't have to big things. Let someone get in front of you (in traffic/in the store). Tell someone to have a nice day or better yet a blessed day. Many only feel comfortable telling someone to be blessed when they sneeze.

They use to say: God bless you now most say: bless you. This was said to have started centuries ago in Germany because disease was running wild. When a person sneezed they thought it was a sign that they were catching a particular disease.

Also do it with a cheerful heart, otherwise it's not doing you a bit of good to do it.

"Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver"

II Corinthians 9:7

Many of the things I may suggest for you to do may not seem like much. They will definitely be easy and simple. Please don't let that fool you...Things don't have to be difficult or hard in order to get good results...They just need to be right (correct).

Christ never told anyone to jump through hoops. He made things simple and easy to those that truly wanted a change in their lives. To the ones that were making things difficult for others He told simple stories which seemed to confuse them. The parables really kept them occupied so that others could get blessed.

So speak blessings to people coming and going. In other words everyone you see or meet. If you're uncomfortable doing that:

then say them in a very low voice at first.- Once you see what happens in your life and the more at ease you become just say the blessings a little louder until you are using your normal talking voice.
don't look or wait for a response from the person. -You don't want them to give you anything in return.
just give and go.- You're doing a quick thing. So drop your contribution (seed) and go.

It's Seedtime, you're just planting seeds in the ground (yourself and others). So plant a lot of them because farmers often place numerous seeds in one hole because some seeds may not be good(strong), enough to produce a good bumper crop (Harvest time).

So if you want an abundance (large amount) of blessings and prosperity..sow..sow..sow (and be glad or eager to do it).

You can start today: Sow and Be blessed with a wonderful Bumper harvest!!!

This is for all of those who take the time to get the training necessary to help others.

Often when the Fathers calls people they don't take the time to receive the training they need (whether it's in a classroom or an experience). Many go before they are sent. We are constantly learning but the Father will make sure we get a good foundation along with some hearty fundamental material which can be shared.

Everyone doesn't want to stand in the position of a teacher but oftentimes the position doesn't require a person to be there for an extended period of time. Some people just have a way with words and some are able to demonstrate things very well. We find that eloquent words work well in some environments but short, sweet, and to the point also works well.

Fragile and Fleeting

Life is very fragile and fleeting. We rest in false hopes and dreams of always having friends and family here with us. But in an instant those that we hold dear have slipped away from this world. When life as we experience here is gone it is gone.

Every life is connected is some way to another. We touch people in ways that we may never know. Oftentimes, just a kind word or gesture shown to a stranger can change their entire day.

Change your routine...Call, write, email or visit someone you know. Extend a hand of hope and love...Just to let them know they are loved...Needed... And important. This can also be done for that stranger you pass everyday.

What Season Is It?

Although the official (calendar) change of the season occurred some time ago, it is apparent that the natural changing of the season is just kicking in (this of course is always dependent upon your physical location).

I would like to urge everyone to be sensitive to your spiritual atmosphere. You must know when one season is ending and when the new one is coming in. You will always have a time of preparation but you will not be able to take advantage of it if you aren't aware of it.

As for me I can see the changing of the physical season but I've been preparing for my spiritual change of season. I must say it is exciting! I started preparing some time ago and I'm so amazed at being able to travel such an unfamiliar path but be full of confidence and peace. It is as if I know the landscape and there are no surprises ahead.

If you haven't started your preparations, please find the time to quiet yourself in the presence of the Holy Spirit. This way you may be able to do some type of preparations.

Small but Tremendous

Hello everyone,

I just thought I'd take a moment of your time to help you bless someone. There are many tragedies in this life and there are many situations that we must face. If you use a small moment of your time to pray for someone else it could have a tremendous effect on their life. It doesn't matter how long your prayer is. Just ask the Lord to help them in whatever area they need help in and to guide them down His chosen path for their life.

You know you can pray for a family member, a friend, or even the stranger that stood next to you at the checkout counter. Maybe you saw someone today that appeared to be having a ruff day (the driver that cut you off or the person that snapped at you)...that person would be an ideal candidate for prayer.

Just make it a genuine request and you'll be a blessing to them. So what if they don't know that you've prayed for them. What's more important, your pat on the back or helping their life? Do it in secret without having to be recognized and the Father will reward you openly. The Father's rewards are always greater than what we expect.

"That thy alms maybe in secret and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly" (Mathew 6:4)

Give a Little

In this day and time most people have days filled with plenty of hustle and bustle. There is more than enough set backs and disappointments for everyone.

But I must say there is one thing that continues to grow no mater how much is given away or used. It grows faster than any weed but instead of choking it fuels. It somehow encourages the dreams of children and men and it also has the ability to inspire nations.

I'm talking about love.

Given at the right moment in time love not only has the ability to change the world but create it. You can give it to a complete stranger and have no strings attached (no ulterior motives).

How?:
a quaint hello
a friendly smile
a polite jester
a helpful hand

Just a little brotherly love given at the right moment can help relieve the pressures of a long day. It can also give another person the strength to continue on their journey or redesign the path they've chosen. to take. The cost of helping another is small compared to what you'll receive in return. One of the most precious gifts you could give to another human is love.

So please give a little today :-)

I ran into a stranger as he passed by:

"Oh excuse me please" was my reply.
He said, "Please excuse me too;
I wasn't watching for you."
We were very polite, this stranger and I.
We went on our way and we said goodbye.

But at home a different story is told:

How we treat our loved ones, young and old.
Later that day, cooking the evening meal,
My son stood beside me very still.
When I turned, I nearly knocked him down.
"Move out of the way," I said with a frown.
He walked away, his little heart broken.
I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.

While I lay awake in bed:

God's still small voice came to me and said,
"While dealing with a stranger,
common courtesy you use,
but the family you love, you seem to abuse.

In a Rut?

Are you moving or functioning day by day without making any progress? No matter what you do or how hard you try to accomplish something you can't seem to finish it. Or maybe it's difficult to get a project started or figure out which direction to go in. Some consider that a rut or a stagnate state of existence.

I would like to offer you another possibility....

This could really be your down time. A season to rejuvenate or have a personal retreat. Most people continue to go and go until their health fails or some tragedy strikes. There is a time and season for everything even a time to refresh and replenish ourselves.

"To every thing there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven..."

(Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)

When it's your season to recoup and refresh yourself (especially when you're building up your inner spirit man), you must be mindful of the time. In fact, it will become very frustrating if you're not able to recognize this. Many people are frantically trying to get involved in things particularly things that don't seem to require much time or effort. There is nothing wrong with helping others or keeping busy but if you're doing this in your season of refreshing you will not be thoroughly refreshed or rejuvenated. It will show up when you're in your busy(productive) season. Often it shows up as the inability to handle stressful situations. People, family, and co-workers will seem to get on your very last nerve.

So to make sure you can :

help others
deal with whatever situations that come up in your life
make progress
accomplish numerous tasks(especially multi-tasking)

This is your time. A time to find a place to sit and quiet the world around you. Everyone can't find a commercial retreat to go to. So find a place near you. Maybe a park, patio,beach, or just walk around the neighborhood. The place doesn't have to be near you or even far away. It just needs to be a place where you can be by yourself or alone. This doesn't mean you must be the only one there. It just means you won't be there with anyone else.

So remember, you're not in a rut...this is the season to rebuild yourself.

Prayers & Thoughts

I'd like all to take a moment to use our power of prayer and thought to lift up those that are in tragic situations. When time of natural disaster strike us, we feel many things. Among the massive amounts of emotions that flood our being are feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. When our hands seem tied and we feel we are without recourse, we must look elsewhere. If we look deep within ourselves we will find the means to connect with a force that is well able to help us. It takes only honesty and sincerity to activate this connection and communicate what you really desire Him to know. This means that words are not always needed. And you definitely don't need to be long-winded or eloquent. You can direct and straight to the point.

"7. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

8. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him."

(Matthew 6:7-8)

Many here in the USA are trying to come to grips with the devastation left by hurricane Katrina. This natural disaster also left much devastation in many of the neighboring islands. But we must realize that there are many things that never make it in the media's limelight. So we can help in many ways but the first and best way to start is with our thoughts and prayers.

Do you have a hard time giving?

I would like to say the principle that tells us: we receive more blessings by giving than receiving, works for any who will embrace it with a joyful heart.

The world use the principles in the Bible and they prosper but many Christians don't embrace them or if they do it's not with the right heartset.

The Principle Works! And it works quickly.
" ...it is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35)KJV

Those words appear in red letters....so you know those are words from the Christ. I wouldn't question those words. I'd accept them and apply them to my daily actions and every motive/intent that's in my heart. Ask the Father for directions and wait for the answers. Once I hear the answers, I follow them to the letter.

I'm always looking for a way to help someone or give something away. Many days I leave the house shopping for something to give away. I must say most of the time I receive multiple returns on the gift before I get back home. The word of God is true and if you (this means anyone) want to receive then look for ways to freely give.

Don't look at what the person you're giving something to will do for you. In fact, I don't want them to do anything for me. Why? Because then the word that God sent out will have to perform a thing on my behalf. God can bless much greater than man. And you never know when he'll cause a man's heart to be turned towards you and show favor to you.

Principle in action:

One day my family was out driving with no particular destination. At the stop light a man had a sign asking for money (which put a smile on my husbands heart). Not that the man had a need but that he was willing to ask for help instead of stealing and that this man was presenting an opportunity for my husband to give. He hadn't stopped the car completely (the light was red), and he had already undid his seatbelt and was lifting himself out of the seat trying to get his wallet out of his back pocket. He quickly pulled out $5 which was all he had and excitedly giving it to the guy. It did take the man by surprise the way my husband was acting.

And here's the reward to that gift:

Later that evening we were browsing through a store and I saw some vitamin supplements that I thought were identical to the bottle we had purchased earlier that day. I took a bottle to my husband to examine. He then told me that they were a little better than the ones we can gotten earlier because they had not only an extra ingredient but that they were stronger. His thing was that it would have been better to get those than than the ones we had purchased. I have no problem returning an item for a refund so I told him I'll return the one item that we'd purchased for $30 and purchase this new item.

And now for the kicker:

Why is it more blessed to give than to receive? We purchased 50 bottles of that supplement that day. The reason we purchased so many was because I believe in stocking up and taking full advantage of a blessing that presents itself. The new and better supplement was only $1.00 per bottle. WOW! Look at the principle of God work.

It is better if we concentrate on building up spiritual wealth not natural wealth (nothing wrong with wealth either it's just not what's driving us), because the spiritual will cause the natural to manifest. We do good to stand on the word and trust in the Father and not be moved by what we can see or touch.

Moments that refresh

I've been trying to quiet my inner self in order to better enjoy my surroundings. I feel it is very beneficial to take the time to thoroughly enjoy some of the things you come in contact with during the run of a day. It's like taking a personal timeout without physically leaving an area. There's no need to use vacation or sick time and it doesn't cost you a penny. Whether it's sunshine, rain, landscape, people, or roses take the time to enjoy something that you're not closely connected to. These moments are refreshing and can be quick "picker uppers". There is nothing quite as calming as the warm rays of the morning sun gently touching your face. Nor is there anything as relaxing as the sound of waves crashing against the rocks or rushing to kiss the shoreline. Well at least in my world. I'm sure if you stop for a moment or two you'll find some special things occurring in your life.

Hello everyone,
Thank you so much for your patience. The intimatewalk.com site has been updated. We're halfway into the summer break(school let's out differently here in VA). My trip to Florida was very productive. I was privileged to meet so many new people. I remember faces very well but names seem to escape me. All in all I really do enjoy meeting people and helping when and where I can. I look forward to edifying the body of Christ. It seems that many take to tearing down(speaking negatively about people or situations), but I must say it is exhilarating and comforting to build others up. The opportunity to build up or tear down will present itself today so when it comes take full advantage of it. Your growth comes when you can act like Christ without trying to.

Hello everyone,
I apologize for not posting sooner. I'm in Florida preparing for the release of the book An Intimate Walk - The Ultimate Relationship. I knew there was work to be done in preparation of a book being released but I didn't know just how much or should I say intense it was. I think this is an experience every writer should wholeheartedly have. It's like just into an ice cold pond on a hot summer's day. The publishing company is located in sunny-stormy Florida which is also my hometown. I thought it best to release it there first. This is the second item that I released into the hands of someone else. Each project become your baby and once it has taken form and materializes in your hands it is very difficult to part with it.
